Tip 19 — Exploit the floating elbow on high backhands
A high backhand forces the elbow up to meet the ball — and for a split second, that lift breaks their balance. The shot that follows usually floats: short, soft, low on pace.
Watch for it. Elbow rising off the ribs, ball landing shallow near the middle of the court. That is your signal to move forward and take control.
Send your next ball low, to the open side, before they can reset their stance. You do not need a hard swing, just better timing than they have.
